Who we are

Principal place of business: Flat C-402, Shreedham Splendour, Anand Nagar, Oshiwara, Jogeshwari West, Mumbai 400102, Maharashtra. Registered office: F-402, Oshiwara Sandipani, Teachers CHSL, off Link Road, Andheri West, Mumbai 400053, Maharashtra. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect and why

• Order details: name, mobile number, email, delivery address, and what you bought, to fulfil and support your order (contract).
• Ritual details you choose to share, such as name and gotra for a sankalp, used only to perform the service you booked.
• WhatsApp opt-in: your mobile number, to send the daily panchang and festival reminders you asked for (consent; reply STOP to withdraw).
• Payment: processed by Razorpay; we never see or store card, UPI or bank details. We keep the payment id and status.
• Site usage: analytics and, with your consent, advertising measurement through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Essential cookies for the cart and session.
• Messages you send us on WhatsApp, email or the contact form, to reply and improve service.

Who we share it with

• Fulfilment and courier partners, for delivery.
• Razorpay, for payments.
• Supabase, our database and file storage provider.
• Email and WhatsApp providers, for the messages described above.
• Google, for analytics and, with consent, advertising measurement.
• Artisan partners receive only what they need to make a made-to-order piece; pandits receive the sankalp details for a booked puja.
• Authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Order records are kept for eight years as required for tax. Opt-in numbers until you withdraw. Analytics data per Google's retention settings, currently 14 months. Contact messages for two years.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise these rights. Write to care@shiwalay.com or the grievance officer, Swapnil Ravishankar Shiwalay, grievance@shiwalay.com, +91-99300-00541 (Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm IST). We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Security

Data is stored with encryption at rest and in transit, access is limited to the team members who need it, and the admin is protected by authentication. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you and the Board as the law requires.
