How we source

A brand, not a factory. That is the point.

Shiwalay does not cast bronze or roll incense. We find the workshop that does it best, hold it to a written standard, and put our name on the box only when the certificate, the cluster and the maker can all be shown.

Four sourcing models

Every product carries one of these

Model A

Private label

Shiwalay does: Formulation brief, packaging, brand, content. Small stock at a 3PL.
The partner does: Contract manufacturer produces to spec.
Used for: Incense, dhoop, camphor, ghee, wicks, tilak, attar, puja kits, subscription boxes

Model B

Curated and co-branded

Shiwalay does: Choose the workshop, write the provenance story, add the Shiwalay box and card.
The partner does: Artisan or wholesaler makes and ships.
Used for: Idols, brass and copper, sacred art, shringar, malas, jewellery

Model C

Certified partner

Shiwalay does: Design the certificate, the energisation video and the consult.
The partner does: One certified supplier per category holds lab-tested stock.
Used for: Rudraksha, gemstones, yantras, sphatik

Model D

Service and made-to-order

Shiwalay does: Own the relationship and the guarantee.
The partner does: Pandit network, astrologer, temple, workshop.
Used for: Puja booking, astrology, temple prasad, books, mandirs

What premium has to be backed by

Assurance, item by item

Lab reports
Gemstones and pearls carry reports from IGI or GII-recognised labs. Rudraksha ships with an X-ray report and, above 7 mukhi, a unique bead number.
GI tags
Swamimalai bronze, Nachiarkoil lamps, Thanjavur painting, Pattachitra, Cuttack filigree and Kannauj attar are sold with their Geographical Indication shown.
BIS hallmark
Every gold and silver piece is hallmarked and its purity declared. Metalware carries its weight on the listing.
Energisation on video
Pran pratishtha at Kashi in your name, recorded and sent before the parcel arrives. Never claimed, always shown.
Licences
Ayurvedic products from AYUSH-licensed makers. Edibles and prasad from FSSAI-registered kitchens.
What we refuse
No ivory, hatha jodi, siyar singhi, tiger claw, turtle shell or restricted corals. Parad only from licensed Ayurvedic refiners, with disclaimers.
